The Control Yuan President Fredrick F. Chien hosted a reception on April 2, 2004 in order to launch the distribution of the published book titled “A Vanishing Battlefield—Kinmen, A Developing Image of the World Cultural Heritage.”
Many distinguished guests attended the reception such as Fukien Provincial Governor Yen Chung-cheng, Kinmen County Magistrate Lee Chu-Feng, Legislator Wu Cheng-tien, scholars from National Taiwan University and Fu Jen Catholic University, and some journalists. This is Book Five of the collection of books on “Guarding Taiwan, Protecting Human Rights.” By reportage, the writer Yang Shu-ching presented the battlefield and South Fukien culture protection in Kinmen in a vivid style according to the investigation case by Control Yuan Members Huang Huang-hsiung and Yin Shiu-hau. This book also keeps a valuable historical record.
Meanwhile, the publication of “A Vanishing Battlefield—Kinmen, A Developing Image of the World Cultural Heritage” is to commemorate the Honorable Member Yin Shiu-hau, who passed away a year ago on April 3, 2003.
