IOI President and Iowa Ombudsman Visits the Control Yuan

At the Invitation of the Control Yuan, Mr. William P. Angrcik II, President of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and Citizens' Aide of State of Iowa, the United States of America, and Mrs. Angrick arrived in Taiwan on December 8, 2008 for a five days visit. Mr. Angrick has great contributions and experiences in protection of human rights and supervision of government agencies as the Ombudsman in Iowa for 30 years. He was also elected as the President of IOI in 2004 and has made great achievements and accomplishments in cooperation and exchanges of international ombudsmanship. In addition to calling on President Ma Ying-jeou and visiting the Control Yuan, Ministry of Audit and Legislative Yuan, Mr. Angrick was also invited to deliver a speech at the Plenary Meeting of the Control Yuan to introduce the Ombudsman system of Iowa and operations of the IOI. Besides, he will also call at Graduate Insitute of Political Science, National Sun Yat-sen University and Graduate Institute of National Development, National Taiwan University to share his experiences by holding several speeches and workshops.
